Why gathering just makes sense right now.

Dear Reader,

We at MONfest truly believe in the power of community, connection and fun.

When we launched the Middle of NOWhere Rural Arts & Music Festival in 2024 the vision was to bring diverse artists together in a rural place because at MONfest we see the beauty and joy of people coming together around the shared love of art and music.

We know art and music is the center for connection, and that our rural communities deserve access to these cultural opportunities.

We also know, that now, more than ever before, artists from diverse life experiences and backgrounds deserve safe rural spaces to gather and share their creations.

Are you craving art and connection?

Whether or not you are an artist, WE WANT YOU to join us in this unique arts and cultural event in Central Iowa in July.

The time is now, to lock in and share with us (if you haven't already) what you want to bring to the 2025 MONfest - as an artist, vendor, volunteer, or sponsor!

Reminder! Applications for Artists and Vendors will close at the end of the day, April 15, 2025. (Thats only 13 days to get your Artist/Vendor application in!)

Do you know of other artists, creatives or patrons who should know about this event?

Forward this email to them and encourage them to lock in!

We're seeking artists and vendors who are:

  • actively seeking a larger platform to share their artistic creations (first time market/fair vendors)
  • members of groups that have been historically marginalized (BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, rural residents etc.)
  • residents of Iowa from small communities
  • residents of regional Midwestern communities
  • able to help us showcase a variety of art (examples include, but are not limited to sculptors, makers, fiber artists, painters, printmakers, 2D and 3D artists wanted!)
  • previous MONfest exhibitors

We're also seeking art lovers, music fans, patrons of the arts, to lock in and commit as sponsors, donors, volunteers and more.

Let's broaden our reach together by sharing this message with those who are also seeking connection in rural spaces!
