Digging the Music

Let's Drill Down into our Musical Acts!

We wanted to send some emails your way with some behind the scenes intel on our performer lineup! Keep reading to learn about the people behind the vibes!

1:30pm Pipo Loveron

Kicking off the festival is Pipo! He's been making music for over 10 years. He stopped for a couple of years but he's back on track!

"I love the culture of the music how you can express your feeling. What keeps me performing is showing my music to others and the sensation of preforming for people is amazing."

Besides music, Pipo enjoys drawing and painting.

He's most excited to "represent Latino people. I’m excited to share my music and to meet other performers!"

2:30pm Nocturnal Flower Child

In our third spot we've got the wonderful Nocturnal Flower Child. She grew up singing and performing with her sister and dad. Around 13, she started songwriting and experimenting with GarageBand on her school laptop.

"It was something that just kind of came to me. Music was my first passion, and I only continue to find new love for it. My love for creation is what keeps me going."

Outside of music, she enjoys photography and creating visuals. "I really love capturing little everyday moments."

As for what she's most excited for at MONfest? "To share the sound I’ve been building. It’s inspired by the pull to reconnect with nature and my inner child, blending alternative and rock with r&b. It can be playful but also contemplative. This will be my first time showcasing my new music live."

You're not going to want to miss it! In the meantime feel free to connect with Nocturnal Love Child on Instagram.

3:30pm Elisha Marin

Our final teaser for this newsletter will be a look at our fifth act! Elisha Marin.

His music explores themes of hope and humanity. "I am passionate about exploring how poetry and music can inspire us, influence us, and call us to action. "

When he's not performing he's designing everything from books to buildings.

What's keeping him busy? "I spend most of my time restoring a 1918 former YWCA building in Mason City for creative reuse as art galleries, studio space, and future residential."

We are grateful to host Elisha who has this to share about MONfest -

"Siricasso and the crew have put together an event that is deeply compelling. The future of Midwestern arts organizing is hyper-local, showcasing the creative capital we have, especially in small and rural communities. The team is the embodiment of "if you can dream it, you can do it". I am grateful to help support this mission and share my talent with this beautiful community."

Follow Elisha Marin on Instagram and Facebook.

The countdown is on!

Don't worry, we'll be back soon to highlight more MONfest 3 performers, in the meantime get your fits ready for the festival - it's time to start planning how you'll show off your style to the crowds.
